Disney Social Media Moms Celebration Headed to New York, Texas and North Carolina

Hey runDisney lovers here is a great social media event that may be coming to a city near you! 
Anyone else near L.I.?


There will be exciting half-day events in the following locations:
Long Island (Melville), New York – Thursday, September 6, 2012
Houston (Galleria Mall), Texas – Wednesday, September 12, 2012
Charlotte (South Park), North Carolina – Friday, September 14, 2012

    Hi Erin, just checking out your blog for the first time! What exactly is the Disney Social Media Moms?? Is there someplace I can find more info on it? I'm on Long Island so I'd be interested in going..

    Also, do you actually need to be a mom to attend??? I'm not a mom, but enjoy social media and planning Disney vacations for my family!

      Danielle - I think the Social Media Moms Conference has been around for 3-4 years now. This is the first time Disney is hosting events outside of Orlando. The first couple of years you applied to attend and paid your way. This year the Orlando event was by invitation only. I thought about applying in 2011, but it was 3 weeks after the Princess Half and I knew I could not swing that at work. I am very excited that they are taking the event on the road. I am going to come over to LI on the ferry out of New London, Ct on Wednesday night and need to find a place to stay. I have requested specifics re: the events location so that I can pick a hotel. I don't know if being a mom is required. You should send your info to Megan and see how it goes!
